Why I Started a Skincare Brand for Skin Like Mine – A Vitiligo Founder’s Journey

Before Evermore existed, our co-founder Shivani asked herself one raw, honest question:

"Why does ‘good skincare’ only mean products for perfect skin? What about people like me?"

As someone with vitiligo, she knew the frustration firsthand:

- Products were designed for "perfect" skin
- Differences were treated as flaws to fix
- Leadership rarely reflected real diversity

The Moment Everything Changed

Staring at shelves full of products that didn't understand her skin, Shivani had a moment of clarity.:
"If no one's creating for skin like mine... maybe that's exactly why I should."

That spark became Evermore Skincare – a brand born from two radical beliefs:

1. Your skin isn’t a problem to solve – it’s a story to honor
2. Real skincare isn’t about conformity – it’s about freedom

Why This Matters Now

1. The Inclusive Beauty Boom
- 70% of consumers prefer brands that promote diversity (Nielsen)
- Fenty's success proved representation drives revenue

2. India's Untapped Potential
- 1-2% of Indians have vitiligo
- 90% of them struggle to find suitable products (IMA 2023 survey)

3. The New Consumer Mindset
- Gen Z isn't just accepting difference – they're demanding it:
- "We don't want to be marketed to... we want to be seen."

Evermore's Promise

We're building more than products – we're creating:
- A new standard for Indian skincare – where "for all" means all
- Safe spaces in beauty aisles – no more awkward explanations
- Visible leadership – proving skin differences belong in the C-suite (Chief decision makers) too

To everyone who's ever questioned if they 'fit' in beauty:
You always did. The industry just needed to catch up🌱💚
